World heritageThe Carolingian Church of St. Mary was built on the remains of a Roman thermal complex. In form and size it surpassed all churches built north of the Alps until then. The west building and the octagon in the center have been preserved until today. -
Imperial ThroneThe imperial throne looks less impressive than you might expect considering its historical significance. While it is often said to be the throne of Charlemagne himself, this cannot be unequivocally verified. - History
